Imagine that it’s winter time, with no home, no money, nowhere to go. The staff at Share not only imagine this, they see it every day in families and individuals in Clark County who are homeless, hungry and need help. From shelter to food to skills training, Share helps families recover and get back on their feet.

Children's Center
Working from within.
Once upon a time, there was a child named Stargirl. She was an anxious, bright perfectionist who was easily angered by any little thing. She felt miserable and depressed and went to Children’s Center for help. After working with a counselor, Stargirl learned that if she gets a bad grade it’s not the end of the world. She learned if she made a mistake, it’s not going to destroy her life. Bumps in the road are normal occurrences. She learned that people weren’t evil or angels, they were just people. She developed confidence in herself and a brighter, more realistic outlook about life. Stargirl learned how to deal with life on life’s terms.

Evergreen Habitat for Humanity
Future home owners wanted.
“It’s deep in the race for a man to want his own roof and walls and fireplace,” explains Pa Bailey in the holiday classic movie, It’s A Wonderful Life. We couldn’t agree more.
Evergreen Habitat for Humanity works to fulfill that mission for families in Clark County. Together, we can change the cycle of poverty through home ownership.

Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools
Learning that goes beyond the classroom.
Imagine not having a coat in winter, or clothes that fit, or coming to school hungry. For nearly half of the students who attend schools within the Vancouver School District, that’s reality. For these children, whose families live below the poverty line, funds raised for the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools helps to ensure they have what they need to learn and succeed.

Free Clinic of Southwest Washington
Compassionate care for those in need. Always.
Since the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington started over 20 years ago, the number of people who need their help – basic health care – continues to grow and grow. Rather than use the emergency room or avoid treatment altogether, SW Washington families have a place to turn for health and healing.

Their mission starts small.
Healthy babies. It’s their mission, their passion and part of every message. And that message starts with healthy pregnancy and the research needed to promote health for mothers and babies. For babies who are born fragile, March of Dimes helps families find hope and healing.
